Maketu was out in force last Friday to mark Pink Shirt Day. A special event to mark the anti-bullying initiative was organised by Maketu Hauora and Maketu Primary School.

Pink Shirt Day is about working together to stop bullying by celebrating diversity and promoting positive social relationships. It’s about creating a community where all people feel safe, valued and respected regardless of their age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability or cultural background.

This event was part of the Youth Engagement and Development working Group of COLAB and WBOPDC financed the Pink Shirts 😉
