Connecting through kai
COLAB would like to introduce our friends & followers to Neighbour’s Day Aotearoa. Neighbour’s Day is an annual event, being held over 18-27th March 2022, that celebrates and encourages communities to connect with their neighbour’s.
This year’s theme is Kai Connections and whether your intention is big or small, it all makes a difference towards building a more connected and stronger neighbourhood. Some ways you and your neighbour’s can take part are:
- Drop off some surplus fresh produce from your garden to your Neighbours
- Crop or seed swap
- Host a picnic, BBQ, potluck, afternoon tea or community breakfast
- Share a skill (fillet a fish, make a chutney, preserving)
- Share a cuppa or a recipe with a friend or neighbour
- Or talk to us about the development of a pataka kai (community pantry)
